Sooo....you would like to know about the domain, huh? Here goes...

I bought my domain name at name cheap and I was hosted at Host Excell for $5 a month for 300 MBs of space. Then they changed the prices (making them higher, *of course*) sooo I looked around for a new hosting company...and found IPowerWeb. $7.95 per month for 500 MBs. Not bad AT all.

It took me a pretty long time to choose a name. I was sitting on a ferry (during my vacation in Maine) and I was talking to my mom about websites and stuff. I mentioned that I really wanted a domain and she said that I could get one. I was thrilled, of course. ^^ So then I thought, "well, what should the name be?" At first I was going to go with http://ice-kisses.net (the name of my blog) but I didn't really like it very much. That is when the brain-storming began. I asked my mom to help me think of some names. My dad began to think too, and he said "what about sweet-dreams.net"? I didn't like it. I thought it sounded too much like something you tell a person right before you shoot them in the head. O_O So...that was scratched off. I began naming all of the domain names I had seen and liked. So then, I thought "what about something with midnight in it?" Since, I loved the nighttime and am always up at least until midnight. >__< So then "midnight-star.net" popped into my head. And I really loved it. The only other name that I realled loved was shiva.net but it was taken as was, shiva.org, shiva.nu, and shiva.com. So, I prayed that midnight-star.net wasn't taken. It wasn't and I registered it on July 10th, 2002. And that's basically the whole story about the domain. Exciting, huh? :D
